Schoolmate Mouse Issues when streaming

So I'm trying to stream play games off my desktop (Win 7) onto my laptop (Mac OSX 10.9) and I'm having some issues while trying to play Schoolmate. When the game starts, after the configuration/start launcher opens, the mouse does not respond coherently and is not smooth at all. It jumps all over the place and makes it nearly impossible to even hit the start new game button. Then when it asks if I want to play the opening movie I cannot even get the cursor over the play movie button.

I've experienced this problem using both Splashtop personal streaming and Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection.

Now before you say or ask me to try playing it on my desktop, that is not easily accomplished as my desktop currently has no monitor of its own.
