The OS was free from ITT Tech, I got Windows 7 Professional x64.
its a pretty good Machine so far, but I want to get another Coolmaster 200mm fan for the side exhaust, and another Nvidia GTX 660 SC and SLI the cards together.
I am loving the Intel i7 processor and the heat sink, the CPU cores don't get hotter than 120 F when I play games, and it idles around 80 F when not in use.
the PC doesn't use more than 1/4 of the ram when I leave it on (with steam and Utorrent open)
this is my first PC that I've built, and I am quite impressed with what I got.
I can play all of my games (except for metro: Last Light) on max graphics settings.
the Thermaltake Chaser MK1 case provides ALOT of air flow, and it comes with dust filters, and has three case fans inside that will change colors, but the Motherboard and everything will not allow the
other fans I have to turn off with the on case button, and will not sequence themselves with the other fans light shows... (but from what I've looked up, you CANT do that with any other fans than the original 3 case fans).
the heat sink I have set up for air to go in one end, and to come out the other, and the exhaust fan on the heat sink will pump the air into the exhaust fan on the back of the CPU case, and I've found
this to be VERY useful for cooling the inside of the case, which is always quite cool.
bottom line, I am quite happy with my purchase from MicroCenter, and I LOVE that the government paid for this (a grant because I am a college student, and I don't have to pay it back)
(I mainly use it for AutoCAD, 3dsMax, and games)
