Why Philippine Must Apologize to Taiwan —The lies and facts of the incident
— Story: A Taiwanese unarmed fishing boat was attacked by the Philippine
Coast Guard on May 9, 2013, in the economic waters shared by both
Philippines and Taiwan, The Philippines Coast Guard shot more than 40
bullets towards the fishing boat, causing the death of one Taiwanese
fisherman. Philippine government has been insisting that this is purely an
accident and refuse to apologize.
— LIE 1: PH government says the Taiwanese fishing boat was in PH
territorial sea.
FACT: The fishing boat was on the OVERLAPPED
EXCLUSIVE ECONOMIC ZONE when shot by PH Coast Guard.
— LIE 2: PH government says their officers only took 2 shots, just to warn
the fishing boat.
FACT: 52 bullet holes were found on the fishing boat,
most of them aimed to the cabin where the fisherman hid.
— LIE 3: PH government says the fishing boat initiated the conflict, trying
to collide with the coast guard ship and their officers fired just for selfdefense purpose.
FACT: No scratch was found on the 15 tons fishing
boat (in contrast to the 90 tons Philippine vessel).
— This is NOT the first time Taiwanese fisherman killed by Philippine
Coast Guard. Philippine government must FORMALLY APOLOGIZE
and promise this kind of matter will never happen again.
